O rincão da Rabila / Moorhen’s home


Existem momentos em que o mais comum e o mais vulgar, se torna especial. A Galinha-d’água (Galinulla chloropus), conhecida entre os gândareses por Rabila, é uma das aves aquáticas mais comuns que habitam as zonas húmidas da Gândara. Geralmente são cautelosas, mas em determinados locais, como a Lagoa de Mira ou a Barrinha, são afoitas e podem ser observadas com relativa facilidade. Numa manhã enevoada e tranquila, este indivíduo deixou-se fotografar no seu rincão, partilhando comigo o silêncio do momento…


There are times when the most common and vulgar, becomes special. The Moorhen (Galinulla chloropus), known among gândareses by “Rabila”, is one of the most common waterbirds that inhabit the wetlands of Gândara. They are usually prudent, but in certain places, such as Lagoa de Mira or Barrinha, they are reckless and can be seen in open water. In a quiet misty morning, this individual let himself photograph in his corner, sharing with me the silence of the moment…
